Our Process
Client completes case to be filed. Forms can be found on our File & Serve page.
Client files case with court or with GLCS through our File & Serve program.
Cases are then delivered to GLCS from plaintiff directly or through our couriers. If cases are being retrieved using our courier, then the plaintiff must notify court they would like to use GLCS for service.
Once retrieved, cases are delegated to one of our countless process servers. First attempts are made within the first 48 hours and have a 80% serve rate in the first week.
Once the case has been served to the defendant a proof of service affidavit is generated.
One copy of the proof of service is delivered to the client and one to the court.
Once the court receives the proof of service they can proceed with the hearing.

Process Server Audit
At Great Lakes Civil Services, we conduct auditing upon all of our Process Servers that are employed by the company. This includes such things as visiting the defendant’s serve locations for verification of descriptions of a premise. We also conduct staged serves with defendants. All of our servers are aware that their cases and serves can and will be audited. This helps eliminate any sloppy process serving. We average around 3-5% auditing per year. This combined with our best practice policy, along with skillful yearly training, assists us and the attorneys we work for with compliance regulations.
